How to cancel when you purchase SYLA membership via Apple or Google Playstore

Here's how to cancel your SYLA membership subscription when purchased in-app on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store

We're sorry to hear you want to cancel your subscription, but as with everything we do here at Smoozitive - we want to make it as simple and smooth as possible for you. 

Our membership plans come with 'cancel anytime' option, so you can use our app when it serves you - before, during or after your relocation. Cancel anytime means when you cancel your subscription, you'll keep on getting the full unlimited access to the app until the end of your billing period (monthly or yearly). 

Important note: Uninstalling the SYLA app will not cancel your subscription. It will still have to be cancelled on the Apple Store or Google Play Store.

How do you upgrade your SYLA membership?

If you purchased on Apple App Store:

Once you activate a free trial through the Apple App store, you will need to cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged for the monthly/annual subscription. 

Steps to cancel on Apple App Store:

​1.
On your iPhone or iPad go to Settings.
​2.
Tap your name / Apple ID. 
3. Tap Subscriptions.
​4. 
Tap the SYLA subscription. 
5. Tap Cancel Subscription. If you do not see the 'cancel subscription' option, it means you already canceled your subscription. 


Subscriptions on Apple renew automatically unless you cancel your subscription, unless you deactivated your auto-renewal option.

​(Please note that if you have already been charged for the subscription, and you decide to cancel, access will be active until the paid subscription expires).

If you purchased on the Google Play Store:

Steps to cancel on Google Play:

​1. Open the Google Play Store App
on your Android mobile phone or table. 
2. Tap the menu button on the top right corner of the Google Play store (your profile picture). 
3. In the menu that appears, click on Payments & subscription.

Select Subscriptions.
​5.
Tap the SYLA app icon and follow the on-screen instructions to cancel subscription.  

Subscriptions on Google Play renew automatically unless you cancel your subscription.

What happens after you cancel your SYLA membership?

When you cancel your membership (monthly or yearly), you'll still be able to access the full content on SYLA app for the time you've already paid. 

​For example, if you subscribed for the yearly subscription on June 1st 2024, and you decide to cancel your subscription on December 31st 2024: 

​- You'll have access to the full content on SYLA app until May 31st 2025. 
​- You won't be charged another yearly subscription following June.
